By Robert Solomon

By Robert SolomonProfessor Garrett is, overall, a very good teacher.
Garrett teaches the course using PowerPoint slides which really enhance and clarify the material covered in class (Garrett uses PowerPoint slides very effectively).
Garrett spends the class period covering the most important points of the material assigned in the reading.
Garrett has reading assignments which help keep the class on track and set a good pace; there are short on-line quizzes for each reading assignment.
All tests are group tests. The tests material is taken from the reading assignments and (mostly) from Garrett's PowerPoint slides. The group tests are fairly challenging.
The Morality and the Good Life text is required. Although it is not used in lecture, the readings are assigned from it.
