Professor Holl is, overall, a good teacher.
Holl gives a lecture (usually consisting of power point slides) and the latter part of the class time is spent doing homework.
Professor Holl spends time answering questions and makes sure that they are all fully answered.
Holl gives homework assignments and collects them regularly. Those who do the homework usually pass with A's.
The MATLAB 7 book is used regularly in class (mainly for doing homework assignments). Holl expects everyone to read it - at least in part.

Assignment 1 - using variables and math operations

Assignment 2 - using linspace, logspace, and matrix operations

Assignment 3 - using/creating matrices and matrix operations

Assignment 4 - solving maximization problems

Assignment 5 - using cross and dot operations on vectors

Assignment 6 - using user defined functions

Assignment 7 - using more user defined functions and read and load commands

Assignment 8 - using logic commands i.e. "less than", "equal to", ect.

Assignment 9 - using loops i.e. "if...else", "for..end", ect.

Assignment 10 - using more loops i.e. "switch...case", "while...end", ect.

Assignment 11 - using 2D graphs to solve problems

Assignment 12 - plotting statistics problems i.e. "linear regression", "stem plots", ect.

Assignment 13 - using 3D graphs to plot lines and surfaces

Assignment 14 - using advanced matrix operations and plotting frequency histograms
